In interpreting the brand’s conceptual complexity, Nuvolato Architop®, Terrae-Calce, and Microtopping® by Ideal Work play a key narrative role, translating perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour’s vision into material form.

In Paris, on the iconic Rue des Francs-Bourgeois, master perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour has opened L’Entropiste Paris, his first space dedicated to haute perfumery. The boutique is an expression of a philosophy that honors the vital mystery of life, its ongoing evolution, and the generative power of transformation—even disorder.
The 75-square-meter space, designed in collaboration with the English architectural firm Fairerol, unfolds in four distinct areas, conceived as stages of a sensorial and conceptual journey that stimulates both the senses and the intellect. Visitors first encounter a space showcasing creations by L’Entropiste Paris, followed by the perfumer’s laboratory and Bertrand’s office. The journey ends in an art gallery, aimed at hosting international artists—a sought-after convergence of the olfactory world with the visual arts. The environment is defined by carefully chosen, essential materials and bold graphic elements, such as the table whose shape evokes the “D” of Duchaufour and Disorder, sealing the brand’s identity.

The interior design, tasked with interpreting this conceptual richness, assigns an essential narrative role to Ideal Work’s surfaces. The seamless Nuvolato Architop® flooring, with its industrial concrete look, enhances spatial perception and allows other elements to stand out clearly. Its ability to merge raw beauty with high resistance, while maintaining a slim profile, proves crucial for high-traffic commercial settings.

On the walls, Terrae-Calce creates a velvety surface with a texture that, despite its irregularity, appears strikingly harmonious.
Its tactile quality reflects a pursuit of authenticity and raw elegance. The application of Terrae-Calce shapes the volumes with sculptural sensitivity, giving the space a warm, lived-in character. A focal point is the vertical section featuring a three-dimensional geometric relief: stylized “D”-shaped modules—a clear nod to Duchaufour, the “Master of Disorder”—are arranged in a strict grid. These shapes form a subtle tension, where apparent order converses with an echo of chaos, all expressed through the materiality of Terrae-Calce.

The versatility of Microtopping® is then showcased across other wall surfaces, furnishings, and the washbasin, producing a seamless, silky finish. This stylistic choice brings the entire space under a single modern language with artisanal overtones, contributing to a sense of refined minimalism.
Ideal Work’s solutions are deeply woven into this conceptual dialogue, actively contributing to the overall experience of L’Entropiste Paris, in tune with Bertrand Duchaufour’s vision.
