A custom-made space: from such a ductile material as concrete it’s possible to obtain many different effects and textures for the floor, from the most traditional ones such as the brick effect or the stone effect to the most seamless and contemporary ones. All this without demolishing the pre-existing surface: thanks to their low thickness, Ideal Work®’s solutions allow to obtain a new environment by simply covering the surfaces, avoiding annoying and invasive works and therefore saving up money and time.

Concrete, stone, wood, antique, granite and many more effects: with Ideal Work® every space can be customized according to your needs and taste.

CONCRETE EFFECT FLOOR

A concrete effect floor can be obtained thanks to a liquid polymer in a particular cement mix called microcement. This material can be applied in a very thin coating (up to only 3 mm thick) and therefore it can be used to cover every vertical or horizontal surface without demolishing the pre-existing ceramic, wood, or concrete surface.

The concrete effect floor was born when the old American factories started to be turned into modern, open space lofts. These new houses needed a floor texture able to match the rough materials of their modern spaces. Microtopping has later become a perfect material to create modern and contemporary environments with a minimalist style. Its extreme versatility and its infinite possibilities of customization make the concrete effect floor able to match any context, whether it is industrial, shabby chic, classic contemporary, rustic or more traditional.

Beside the classic grey concrete colour, the concrete effect floor offers a wide range of colours, from the more neutral black and white to brighter and more eclectic colours such as aquamarine, brick red and yellow.

Among Ideal Work®’s more suitable solutions to recreate the concrete effect, Microtopping® allows to obtain some refined and seamless surfaces. With a thickness of just 3 mm, it allows to restructure or to quickly change the environment’s look without removing the old surfaces. Its great ductility and its high adhesion to the substrate make its application possible on the most diverse materials, both vertical and horizontal; it can be used to coat floors and walls but also more unusual surfaces such as plasterboard walls, stairs, bathtubs, shower stalls, pieces of furniture, fireplaces, countertops, tables and much more. This product’s artisanal processing guarantees an always unique and original outcome. Moreover, the infinite combinations of colours, decorative inserts and effects (shiny, acid-stained, cloud effects) allow you to give free rein to your creativity and to customize your own floor texture for a unique result. Last but not least, Microtopping is easy and quick to clean.

STONE EFFECT FLOOR

The stone effect floor is created through an imprinting technique, by carving the superficial layer of the material thanks to some moulds. These moulds are placed and pressed on the fresh concrete in order to create the design of a stone floor. A stone texture can therefore be recreated on concrete with a great natural effect.

For this particular stone effect Ideal Work® proposes Stamped Concrete, an ideal solution for the hardscape.

Sand, dove grey, zinc, charcoal: the available colours for a stone effect floor are a lot and they can all be customized. It is also possible to combine a few colours to create dynamic and unique geometric designs. It is also possible to add some decorations such as sundials and geometric shapes. The stone effect floor’s main feature is its great resistance: it does not discolor neither in case of prolonged sun exposure, nor in case of UV rays thanks to the application of an extremely effective protective resin.

Compared to natural stone slabs, Stamped Concrete is a monolithic floor and therefore offers a number of advantages in terms of costs. Natural slabs are first placed on the substrate and then they’re sealed by adding dry sand to the joints; this means that single slabs block themselves without the use of concrete compounds. They however require a stable top layer or an edge to stabilize the whole floor. Last but not least, stone effect stamped concrete eliminates the problem of bad weeds growing between single stones.

BRICK EFFECT FLOOR

A fake brick floor can be obtained by an imprinting technique, carving the superficial layer of the material thanks to some moulds. These moulds are placed and pressed on the fresh concrete in order to create the design of a brick floor. This technique can be used for floors as well as walls to create an original texture for both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Among Ideal Work®’s solutions, Stamped Concrete and Stamped Wall are perfect to recreate the fake brick effect. Stamped Concrete can be used outdoor, while Stamped Wall both indoor and outdoor, for a beautiful, natural-looking result. The available colours vary from ash grey to brick red, from sky blue to pink, and they remain intact over time, allowing the surfaces to maintain their modern and unique style. Concrete colour’s main feature is its great resistance: it does not discolor neither in case of prolonged sun exposure, nor in case of UV rays thanks to the application of an extremely effective protective resin.

SEAMLESS FLOORS

The advantages of a seamless floor are several: it visually enlarges the space and gives it a modern and essential look, highlighting the decor’s elements.

Among the various seamless surfaces, microcement is the most innovative and modern: Microtopping® is Ideal Work®’s microcement, able to create tactile, silken surfaces with a thickness of just 3 mm. It’s therefore ideal in case of renovation because it makes it possible to cover the existing surfaces without demolishing them. Moreover, it can be applied to both horizontal and vertical surfaces and it can therefore be used to renovate stairs, bathrooms, countertops and much more. It’s a wear-resistant surface that can be installed even in case of under floor heating, thanks to its good thermal conduction.

Any space is customizable with Microtopping®: infinite combinations of colours and effects are available thanks to the handcrafted installation by Ideal Work®’s authorized applicators. That’s why every Ideal Work® floor is unique. From white and grey to the brightest colours, with a rough concrete effect of a wood, satin, glossy effect: with Ideal Work®’s microcement the possible combinations of colours and effects are infinite and suitable for all kinds of surfaces, both for floors and walls.

TROWEL EFFECT FLOOR

The trowel effect is a particular texture created by the use of a trowel; trowel concrete floors are seamless floors that recreate the concrete effect and they can be applied to any kind of vertical and horizontal surface, both indoor or outdoor. The decorative effects and the floor textures that can be obtained with trowel concrete are the most varied and they can all be customized. Trowel concrete’s high adherence makes its application suitable for any kind of existing surface without demolitions, with remarkable advantages in terms of costs and time. Thanks to some specific treatments, trowel concrete guarantees a high resistance to abrasion, wear, weather conditions, chemical agents and water penetration. It is also easy and quick to clean.

With such a dynamic look, trowel concrete perfectly matches industrial style spaces, but it can also embellish a jungle style environment and create some interesting visual contrasts.

This original floor is seamless and embellished by some exclusive high quality Italian marble aggregates. Among Ideal Work®’s solutions, Lixio® is the one that allows to obtain a high quality Venetian terrace effect floor able to give refinement and value to houses, hotels, restaurants, stores and commercial areas, museums, public buildings and private residences.

WOOD EFFECT FLOOR

The wood effect floor can be created by different techniques.

One of those is the imprinting technique: carving the material through specific moulds that are placed and pressed on fresh concrete to reproduce a wood design on the floor. The wood texture is therefore recreated on concrete, with a great natural-looking effect. Among Ideal Work®’s solutions, Stamped Concrete uses this technique to create an outdoor wood effect floor rich in advantages. Wood is in fact an insulating material against cold and noise, it’s very versatile and yet subject to wear, humidity and infiltrations that decrease its durability. Stamped Concrete, on the other hand, allows to recreate a wood effect texture on the floor but at the same time it maintains the concrete’s features: robustness and resistance to wear, abrasion, chemical agents and weather conditions. It is also suitable for vehicular traffic and therefore ideal to coat driveways, walkways, stairs and pooldecks.

If you prefer a wood effect wall, Microtopping® Wall Textures allow you to coat any kind of vertical surface such as plasterboard walls, stairs, bathrooms, hotel halls, offices, stores, kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms. Ideal for those who want to give a space a warmer look with a contemporary wood effect wall.

RUST EFFECT FLOOR

The rust effect, or corten effect, is a particularly trendy effect. It recreates the natural transformation of the Cor-ten steel. Among Ideal Work®’s solutions, Acid Stain is the one able to create an original rust effect floor, thanks to some particular acids from metallic salt compounds which penetrate into the concrete and react with the free lime, chemically changing the colour to produce unique and permanent variegated effects. Thanks to this chemical reaction, Ideal Work®’s acids become part of the surface and are therefore not subject to fading, spoiling, cracking or peeling. They acquire the same resistance as concrete. The possible colour effects are variable, variegated or translucent, and theu give the floor either a very natural effect or an ancient look. The available combinations of colours are infinite: Amber, Brown, Ebony, Jade, etc. They can be customized with a handcrafted cloud effect by the authorized applicator, which gives the spaces a distinctive look of real beauty.

Able to enhance any space, this particular rust effect floor is ideal for industrial contexts when combined with neutral colours and decors, as well as with metallic details.

It is therefore ideal in case of floor renovation because it can be applied directly over the existing surface without demolishing it. Thanks to its versatility and the large customization choice, Lixio® matches any kind of space, whether it is historic or modern, baroque or minimalist.

Outdoor, Sassoitalia® recreates the ancient tradition of the washed pebble, for an elegant aggregate effect floor. Sassoitalia® can be created with several types of local aggregates and it’s ideal also for historic contexts subject to landscaping constraints since the use of such natural and local materials allows for an excellent integration with the landscape. Thanks to its extremely low thickness (3 mm) it is suitable to renovate the pre-existing floor; furthermore, the aggregates ledge makes the surface rough and slip-resistant, perfect for ramps, steep driveways and north facing sidewalks.

INDUSTRIAL EFFECT FLOOR

Industrial effect floors are tactile decorative surfaces able to create the texture of an industrial floor. They are esthetically similar to real industrial floors, but with substantially different features in terms of performance. Industrial effect floors can be applied to any surface with a low thickness and a final seamless outcome.

The industrial effect floor has an impactful esthetic aspect suitable to match rough materials and industrial style contexts such as lofts and contemporary open spaces, but it can also match a shabby chic or a new-baroque style.

Is it possible to obtain the same effect on a vertical surface?

Wood, concrete, aggregate effects… Ideal Work® solutions are able to recreate every texture also on vertical surfaces.

For example, Ideal Work®’s Microtopping® concrete effect can be obtained in vertical too, on walls, stairs, pieces of furniture such as tables, shower stalls, sinks and much more.

Sassoitalia®, the floor the recreates the tradition of washed pebbles, can also be applied to vertical surfaces thanks to its easy application process. It could be used, for example, for the outdoor shower of the pool area.

With Microtopping® Wall Texture it’s possible to create plenty of textures for the walls, such as the wood, jute, hemp or net effects.
