When choosing the most appropriate type of floor for the interior, it’s important to consider both the desired aesthetic effect and the practicality the floor must have, with a preference for versatile and long-lasting materials. On the market there are several types of indoor floors, all made of different materials: granite, stoneware, ceramic, microcement, resin, and marble.

Ideal Work® proposes tactile and innovative concrete floors and coatings, able to renovate your spaces with the least discomfort. Particularly indicated for renovations, Ideal Work®’s concrete solutions allow to cover the existing surfaces with a low thickness coating, avoiding all demolitions.

Ideal Work®’s solutions are able to reproduce the aesthetic features of many different types of floors (wood, granite, resin, bricks, stone and much more) with the advantage of being innovative concrete surfaces. Let’s see some of the floors currently available on the marketplace, whose look can be reproduced by Ideal Work®’s solutions.

WOODEN FLOORS

A natural insulation against the cold and the noise, wood is a very versatile material, particularly appreciated for the interior. Wooden floors embellish the environment and give a sense of warmth and comfort. Their natural component is however the reason of their deterioration: wear, humidity and infiltrations can cause severe damages to wooden floors and compromise their durability. If you love the wood effect for hardscapes too, amongst Ideal Work®’s outdoor floor types Stamped Concrete is the most suitable for a wood-effect external flatwork with the resistance, the robustness and the durability of a concrete solution.

GRANITE FLOOR

A granite floor stands out for its robustness, its heat- and water-resistance and, consequently, its long-lasting performance. These features make a granite floor ideal for bathrooms and kitchens, although the natural coldness of its colours makes it unsuitable for the living areas of the house, such as bedrooms and living rooms.

Amongst Ideal Work®’s various types of indoor floors, Lixio® allows to create a “granite-effect” floor with its exclusive high-quality Italian marble aggregates, a thickness of just 5 mm and no joints. It’s ideal in case of renovation or to cover the existing floor’s old tiles without removing them. From the virginal Carrara White to the seductive Ebony Black 100, through the romantic Terracotta Red; with Lixio® you can choose from a wide selection of colours and aggregates.

RESIN FLOOR

Originally used for industrial purposes, in the past few years resin floors grew popular also on a residential scale, where they are particularly appreciated for their versatility and their seamlessness. A valid alternative to this kind of floor is represented by Ideal Work®’s decorative microcement Microtopping®, which allows you to obtain an equally seamless but much more resistant floor with a tactile and natural effect. Unlike the resin, a plastic material derived from the transformation of petrol and subjected to yellowing, Microtopping® is cement-based and doesn’t undergo damages over time. Moreover, it can be applied not only to the floor, like the resin does, but also on vertical surfaces.

MICROCEMENT FLOOR

A microcement floor is a seamless floor resulting from the combination of a liquid polymer with a specific cement mix. After its first appearances in some US lofts which had been transformed from former factories into modern spaces, the microcement floor has been chosen by some famous fashion and sports brands to renovate their stores. Today its use is very common also in residential areas because it’s the type of modern floor that turns the house into a design space and it’s able to match any look or context. Among Ideal Work®’s various types of floors, Microtopping® is ideal for those who look for an industrial contemporary effect. Wear-resistant and long-lasting, this kind of floor is available in an infinite variety of colours and effects in order to perfectly match any kind of space and decor. With a thickness of just 3 mm, Microtopping® allows to quickly change the look of a space avoiding all demolitions. And that’s not all: thanks to its seamlessness this microcement floor is extremely easy to clean and suitable for under-floor heating systems.

TROWEL-FINISHED CONCRETE FLOOR

Trowel-finished concrete floors are seamless low-thickness floors that can be installed on any surface, indoor or outdoor, horizontally or vertically. A seamless surface is not only easy to clean but also very modern and minimalist in the look and it therefore match any decor style.

Rasico® is an Ideal Work®’s trowel-finished concrete floor with a thickness of only 3-4 mm that allows to create a seamless surface and to quickly renovate the old floors avoiding all demolitions. Resistant and long-lasting, Rasico® stands out for its particular design and offers a customized application. The colour choice counts 29 neutral and elegant colours (from dove grey to brown, salvstone grey and zinc).

STAMPED CONCRETE FLOOR

The stamped concrete floor is created through the use of specific moulds pushed in the concrete to reproduce particular effects. Ideal Work®’s Stamped Concrete is a stamped cement floor that recreates the beauty of stone, bricks, cobblestones and other materials such as rocks, earthenware and wood. Extremely resistant, it’s monolithic and therefore not subjected to indentations or settlement. If treated with specific resins and hardeners, it becomes extremely resistant to wear and abrasion when compared to traditional concrete floors.

VENETIAN FLOOR

The Venetian floor is a seamless coating composed of marble and stone aggregates in a cement mix. The traditional Venetian floor, created today by very few experts of the field, needs a big thickness and a long installation time. In case of restructuring, the existing floor has to be completely removed. Ideal Work® proposes a more practical, modern Venetian floor: Lixio® is a concrete low-thickness surface able to recreate the beauty of the Venetian floor. With a thickness of just 5-6 mm, Lixio® is ideal for renovating old floors, since it doesn’t require the removal of the pre-existing surface and it can be applied without cutting the doors. Available in a polish, slip-resistant satin or even bushhammered finish.
