Italian products for the new theme areas of the most famous theme park in Europe
The use of stamped and decorative concrete in the theme park sector is long established, since these materials are ideal for creating the artistic features of such structures. Until now the American product had the edge over others in securing work contracts, but in the last five years the Veneto-based company Ideal Work, through the quality of its products, punctual delivery and the versatility of its applications, has managed to assert its presence in this sector too. Disneyland Paris – located just outside the French capital and one of the most profitable parks in the world – initially entrusted the Italian specialists with occasional maintenance as well as work involving changes to existing areas, but has recently placed a large order for the creation of new areas. The work will commence next year and will be carried out by French installers who are already Ideal Work partners.

Although Ideal Work was established only just over a decade ago, it is by now Europe’s foremost stamped floor company as well as boasting a strong presence in Africa and the Middle East. In the somewhat static scenario of building products, it has kindled the attention of designers and floor layers with its innovative, reliable and extremely versatile range of products for making interior and exterior concrete walls and floors. Personal relations with floor layers and decorators have resulted in the products that are sold (stamped floors and walls, “SassoItalia”, “Nuvolato” and Acid-Etched floors) being transformed into a wide range of highly customizable and aesthetically superior trendy solutions.

Stamped walls offer the possibility of full-thickness coverings that give the appearance of traditional walls in natural stone, artificial rock as well as columns, mouldings and covings. But beneath the appearance are all the supreme characteristics of concrete: high strength and durability, quick and easy laying and maintenance plus good workability and cost-effectiveness of the raw material. The most interesting aspect, however, is the aesthetic rendering, which offers exceptional opportunities for characterisation by varying the components, moulds, working methods and by colouring, coating or polishing the surfaces. Ideal Work’s corporate philosophy and its key to success are based on on-going research and development, the quality and ecological nature of the components plus close-knit relations with floor layers, installers and professionals.
